Terms of Service
Version 2.0 · Last updated: 3 September 2026
1. Purpose
BonVoyageur is a long-term travel planning tool, available at bonvoyageur.fr. It helps users build and optimize multi-country itineraries based on weather patterns, visa requirements and distances. These Terms of Service define the rules for accessing and using the service.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, you may not use the service. The service offers free access and prepaid, fixed-term paid access with no automatic renewal. The sale of paid access is concluded with our partner Creem, who handles payment and invoicing. These terms govern access to the service and its use.
3. Description of Services
BonVoyageur offers algorithm-optimized itinerary generation, itinerary customization (adding, removing, and reordering countries, adjusting dates and durations), itinerary saving to your account, and access to a community gallery of shared itineraries. The service is a decision-support tool, generated suggestions are indicative proposals, not prescriptions. It does not offer accommodation or transport booking, or day-by-day planning.
4. Paid access: duration, expiry and extension
Paid access is prepaid access for a fixed term. There is no automatic renewal: at expiry nothing is charged and nothing renews on its own. Starting point: the term runs from activation, that is from the moment our partner Creem confirms the payment. The sale: it is concluded with Creem, the legal seller (merchant of record), which collects payment, issues the invoice and holds the right of withdrawal under its own purchase terms. These terms govern access to the service and its use. Extension: a further purchase made while an access is still running is added to the remaining period rather than replacing it: no paid day is lost. At expiry: no data is deleted. Your trips stay readable, whatever their number or size, and you can still rename and delete them. What does become reserved for an active paid access again: editing the content of a trip that exceeds the free plan's limits, creating a trip beyond the permitted number, and exporting. Scope changes: features added to the paid offer benefit running accesses immediately. No substantial feature that was sold is withdrawn during a paid period, save for compelling technical constraints. In that case you are informed and offered a goodwill gesture. This framing matches the requirements of Directive (EU) 2019/770 on digital content and services. Refunds: outside the right of withdrawal, any refund is discretionary and carries no advertised guarantee. A full refund ends the corresponding access. A partial refund, granted as a goodwill gesture, does not end access: the paid period runs to its term.
5. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Voyageur access is digital content supplied immediately: under article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply once you have expressly asked for immediate performance and expressly waived that right. That consent and waiver are collected by Creem, the legal seller, at payment time, under its own purchase terms. If you did not give that agreement, or if access was never activated, write to contact@bonvoyageur.fr and we will pass the request on to Creem.
6. Legal guarantee of conformity
Voyageur access is a digital service within the meaning of articles L224-25-1 and following of the French Consumer Code. It must match what is announced for the whole period it is supplied. If it does not, you may require it to be brought into conformity at no cost and, failing that, obtain a price reduction or the termination of the contract, under the conditions those articles set out. This guarantee is owed independently of any commercial warranty and at no cost to you. To invoke it, write to contact@bonvoyageur.fr.
7. Responsibilities
Visa and weather information is sourced from public databases and may be incomplete or outdated: visa data is reviewed weekly, with a possible lag of one to two months behind real changes, and weather data consists of climate normals, not forecasts. It is provided for informational purposes only. Users are solely responsible for verifying official requirements with the relevant embassies, consulates, and authorities before travelling. BonVoyageur cannot be held responsible for denied entry, administrative complications, or any harm resulting from inaccurate information. The service is provided as-is, without guarantee of continuous availability.
8. Intellectual Property
The algorithm, source code, design, and editorial content of BonVoyageur are protected by intellectual property law. Itineraries you create belong to you. You grant BonVoyageur a non-exclusive licence to use anonymised usage data to improve the service, subject to the conditions described in the Privacy Policy and with your consent.
9. Personal Data
BonVoyageur collects and processes personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For details on what data is collected, its purposes, your rights, and how to exercise them, please refer to our Privacy Policy at bonvoyageur.fr/confidentialite.
10. Modifications to Terms
BonVoyageur reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. In the event of a material change, registered users will be notified by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Contact
For any question about these terms, write to contact@bonvoyageur.fr. If something goes wrong, send us a written complaint at that address first: we answer within three business days and look for an amicable solution. The service is governed by French law. If you are a consumer resident in another European Union country, you keep the benefit of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before its courts. The site's legal notice sets out the publisher's identity and the available remedies.
